Three explosive ITV Coronation Street theories: new romance and two exits rock the cobbles
DAISY Midgeley dropped a bombshell on her beau Daniel Osbourne during a recent trip to the cobbles.
Meanwhile, two Coronation Street favourites are set for a romance of their own as one resident works hard to bring them together.
1. Rovers revenge
Jenny Connor (portrayed by Sally Ann Matthews) is going above and beyond to get the Rovers back in business with her at the helm.
The iconic pub was closed down earlier this year, as ITV viewers will remember, and this week, Jenny and her stepdaughter Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) have a plan to finally get back to business.
It all begins when Jenny and Carla Connor (Alison King) fail to persuade Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls) to hand over Stephen Reid's journal.
Recent scenes of the Manchester-based program have shown Jenny with Stephen's laptop in her possession, where she found a potential access to his accounts, in which he may have stored money he stole from the Underworld business prior to his failed escape and death.
More Corrie
However, to gain access to these accounts, Jenny is in need of a password which could be stored in the serial killer's diary.
Unfortunately, Stephen's mother Audrey is still grieving, adamant on keeping her son's belongings.
In later scenes, Daisy Midgeley tells Jenny not to give up as she deserves a cut of that money for what she went through and she could buy the Rovers back.
This prompts the former barmaid to take action herself and use a Platt family outing as the perfect excuse to have a snoop in their home.
Daisy calls at the Bistro and spotting all the Platts’ coats hanging up, forms a plan.
Having stolen David Platt’s keys, Daisy lets herself into No.8. She searches frantically for the journal but is forced to run upstairs when Audrey arrives back.
Could she get caught?
While this remains to be seen, Daisy has encountered severe relationship issues with her fiancé Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) in recent instalments of the Manchester-based drama.
In a shocking twist, the barmaid revealed to her other half that she had cheated on him with Ryan.
To make matters worse, she admitted that she harboured romantic feelings for the waiter and aspiring DJ, leaving fans to wonder how Daniel will respond to her admission.
Daniel has a well-known villainous streak and viewers have been fearing he could turn things up a notch by lashing out against Daisy out of jealousy.
However, one viewer took to X, otherwise known as Twitter, and shared a theory about how Daniel's revenge could be the most effective.
With Daisy planning to reopen the Rovers with Jenny, this fan speculated that Daniel - who was interested in buying the pub back with his fiancée - could get payback by sabotaging everything for them.
"I can see Daniel buying the pub for Bertie's future and kicking Daisy and Jenny out into the cold", this soap viewer penned.
Another theory emerged according to which Daniel could even grass on Daisy for breaking into the Platt family household.
Jenny is an innocent party in the love triangle but could she be collateral damage and struggle once again?
2. Surprise second exit
Actor Ryan Prescott is due to leave the soap in upcoming scenes as he waves goodbye to his Corrie alter ego Ryan Connor.
While Ryan has been a part of life in Weatherfield since his first arrival in 2006, the soap star has only been portraying him since 2018 after he took over the role from Sol Heras and Ben Thompson.
Coming up, Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) is shocked when Crystal Hyde (Erin Austen) reveals she and Ryan are moving away to Glasgow.
In later scenes, an emotional Carla - who took him in as an auntie figure due to her close friendship with his mother Michelle Connor - and Debbie wave Ryan off as he leaves for Glasgow.
Meanwhile, Daisy watches sadly as his taxi disappears from view.
Many viewers have been left scratching their heads as to why Daisy and Daniel are still considering being an item as they agreed that Ryan could be a better match for the bombshell.
And with Lucy Fallon set to reprise the role of Bethany Platt in upcoming scenes, this has led multiple soap fans to believe Daisy may set the scene for a reunion between her and Daniel by dumping the teacher.
To top it all off, with the Rovers back on track and Ryan gone, Daisy could come to her senses and follow him out of the cobbles, thus causing more drama with Crystal.
But could Daisy come back after an unsuccessful attempt at getting Ryan by her side?
Could she return just as Daniel and Bethany get reacquainted?

3. Matchmaking leads to new couple
While he was trying to take over the Underworld factory in the hopes of solving his financial troubles, Stephen Reid sent Fiz Stape away to take on another job.
The fan favourite packed up her things and waved her loved ones a temporary goodbye as she set off to Norwich.
Since then, she has been keeping in touch with her family and her husband Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) while, off-screen, Jennie McAlpine welcomed a third child with her husband Chris Farr.
But in scenes due to air, Fiz and Tyrone are finally pushed into a reunion - while Cassie Plummer decides to push two other characters together.
It all begins when Tyrone's grandmother Evelyn Plummer (Maureen Lipman) calls at No.9 and suggests to Tyrone he takes the girls to Norfolk to see Fiz while she spends Christmas with Roy Cropper (David Neilson).
Realising that leaves her daughter Cassie (Claire Sweeney) on her own, Evelyn reluctantly invites her to join them.
Despite their complicated relationship, Evelyn tries her best to keep an eye on Cassie.
However, Evelyn is then met with another problem as Roy's health is clearly not in good shape.
In the café, Roy suffers a spasm in his back, prompting Debbie Webster to help him upstairs whilst Evelyn pops on a pinny and assures Roy she’ll cover his shift.
Later on, Cassie comes up with a gift idea from Roy to Evelyn and he manages to locate it.
Cassie insists that she’ll accompany him on his shopping trip but when the Woody won’t start Cassie comes up with a plan.
A handful of viewers of the long-running program have been sensing Roy could finally move on from the tear-jerking death of his late wife Hayley Cropper with another woman in the cobbles.
Their initial thoughts went to Yasmeen Nazir as they spotted chemistry between her and Roy.
But with Evelyn always being around him and clearly seeming jealous once Roy and Yasmeen rekindled their friendship earlier this year, many viewers have speculated she could be his newest love interest.
