You’re wasting money on a trendy skincare device – people use it willy-nilly & it looks like you got run over by a bus

AN esthetician has urged beauty fans to stop wasting money on a trendy skincare device.

People use it willy-nilly, she said, but you will be no beauty by the time you're finished.

You'll probably look more like you got run over by a bus, she said.

It's not a look anyone wants and Morgan (@glolabmedspa) despairs at the skincare decisions people make.

She wants to educate her audience on the hidden perils in some of these devices, so she shared her perspective.

As a skincare pro, she has strong views on them.

“Skincare devices you are wasting your money on by purchasing," she said in her post.

DERMA ROLLER

She had little time for these and said they were best avoided.

“Any type of derma roller will scare you more if you see what it looks like," she said.

Do not use, she said, "unless you want to look like you just got run over by a bus."

“I don’t suggest it," she added.

BLACKHEAD REMOVER VACUUM

Find another method to remove blackheads but not this one, she advised.

“Absolutely do not use this, or any type of poor vacuum like this," she said.

“You are just going to give yourself hickeys. Maybe it will pull something up, maybe not.

“I’m not even saying you can’t do this s**t at home, just saying that there’s other ways. This is not one of them," she added.

HYALURON PENS

She held particular scorn for this at-home beauty tool and other medical professionals shared her concerns.

“I don’t think anyone should own this last one. Nobody," she wrote.

“I'm disgusted. Hyaluron pens are a high-pressure, non-needle filler.

“Essentially you are just splurging air into all your stuff with some hyaluronic acid," she said.

"You can hit nerves. You need to be going to a registered nurse, someone that knows facial anatomy," she said.

“Do not be doing these at home,” she added, imploring viewers.

These devices are not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

In October 2021 it issued a warning, strongly advising against using them.

Commenters were equally shocked at these tools being widely available.

“I cannot believe people use those filler pens. You know they can’t be precise," said one person.

“Hyaluron pens have me shaking in my boots," added a second person.

“The hyaluron pens are terrifying," shuddered a third person.
