Sam Thompson reveals he nearly quit I’m A Celeb on day one after secret health scare that was never shown on camera
KING of the jungle Sam Thompson said he very nearly dropped out I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here.
The TV star revealed that after spending a week in isolation his health suddenly spiralled.
Sitting down with his best pal and TV husband Pete Wicks, he said that he had a "full-blown" panic attack on the first day.
"So on the first day when we go in, I had a panic attack," he said on their Staying Relevant podcast.
"And I went in really guns blazing, I was so excited. I was like 'oh my god everyone's here', like energy through the roof and then suddenly it hit me what we were doing and I literally sat on my bed and went 'oh my god'."
"My heart was going really quick and I was sweating and I really wanted to be sick, and I went I'm either really ill and I'm going to have to see the medic day one, and I'm going to be like 'you might have to pull me out'," he said, not quite finishing his sentence.

"I had a full-blown panic attack on the first day, and people were coming up to me and asking 'why are you being so quiet' and I was like 'I don't know, I don't know what's going on, and it took me a bit of time to acclimatise because I was so overwhelmed with the whole experience," he added.
"It's a really weird experience when you first get in there, really, really weird, but everyone is so nice."
During their chat for their podcast, the duo were sat on individual plush pink armchairs as they prepared to resume work on their show.
Sam tagged his best mate and their official podcast page as he captioned the snap: "We're back baby!!!!"
Since returning from the Australian bush, Sam has only had one day of down time for the birthday of his girlfriend, Zara McDermott, 26.
He was seen to have splashed out £3k on a designer bag to celebrate the milestone after the duo were reunited.

Sam has also made a surprising hosting debut on This Morning alongside campmate Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle.
He joined the TV duo for the Spin to Win competition on the programme, and it went down a treat with fans.
