Anne-Marie secretly marries boyfriend Slowthai in Las Vegas after whirlwind romance

We thought Anne-Marie and Brit rapper Slowthai had been going steady for almost two years now – but in fact they had wasted no time in getting married.

I can exclusively reveal the pop star married Slowthai — real name Tyron Frampton — on 26 July 2022, just months after they started dating.

The pair had a quickie wedding in Las Vegas in the middle of her ­Dysfunctional tour.

A source said: “Anne-Marie and Slowthai got married in secret two years ago. She had an eight-week break from her tour and they went to Las Vegas and got married.”

A wedding licence from Clark County Court in Sin City shows the pair picked up their marriage licence on July 20 before they wed six days later.

Anne-Marie and Slowthai have never confirmed they married but last summer Don’t Play singer Anne-Marie showed off a large ­diamond ring on her wedding finger.

And recently, Slowthai was spotted out and about wearing a chunky ­silver band on his finger.

He is currently awaiting trial for two charges of rape after pleading not guilty last year.

Caused headaches

As Anne-Marie prepares to headline a string of summer dates in July, in that same month he will face trial for the alleged crimes.

Their decision to get married in secret is hardly surprising, given they wed ten months after Slowthai was first charged by police.

It’s not a good look for Anne-Marie, who made a name for herself as a squeaky-clean pop star with a string of hits including Ciao Adios and Psycho.

Insiders said that Anne-Marie’s decision to stick with Slowthai caused headaches within her label, who feared her female-friendly image could be tainted by her ­relationship with him.

But as they’ve married, there really isn’t a lot they can do.

Those close to Anne-Marie said she would continue to stand by him, despite how it looks to outsiders. One added: “Anne-Marie loves Tyron. They are very happy together.”

I’ve interviewed Anne-Marie a handful of times over the years and she’s a kind, warm and intelligent woman who knows her own mind.

The news of her secret wedding may come as a shock to her fans. But who are we to judge?
