The incident occurred after the Red Devils' crushing 4-0 defeat in South London.

According to the Daily Mail, Lizwani wore a full United tracksuit as he made his way onto the bus.

He took a seat before being spotted by the club's security guards, who removed him amicably.

An investigation has now been launched by Palace to work out how the stunt was possible.

The report adds that the Eagles are examining CCTV to pinpoint Lizwani's movements.

Their current working theory is said to be that he came through an exit gate that had been opened at full-time, before hiding until he snuck onto the bus.

Palace have declined to comment on the incident.

Meanwhile, an alert has been issued to clubs by the Premier League.
