This Morning fans shocked as they discover Vic Reeves’ real name
THIS Morning viewers were left gobsmacked today when they discovered Vic Reeves’ real name.
The 64-year-old appeared on the show alongside his wife Nancy Sorrell to talk about their love of birdwatching – and went under his original moniker, Jim Moir.
Jim adopted the stage name Vic Reeves at the start of his career – naming himself after two of his favourite singers, Vic Damone and Jim Reeves.
Those watching at home were surprised to see him ditching the comedy for birds and painting.
One person remarked: “JIM??? I thought his name was Vic.”
Another person questioned: “Is this Vic Reeves pretending to be a birdwatcher and married to Nancy.”

While another joked: “90's me watching Vic Reeves Big Night Out. 2023 me watching Vic AKA Jim and his missus talking about being birdwatchers. What a time to be alive.”
Jim and Nancy now have their own Sky Arts series about painting.
And he recently admitted that he and sidekick Bob Mortimer bat back all offers to work together.
They have not been on TV together for a decade and have drifted apart off-screen, too.
Jim told Radio Times: “We’ve had offers from everywhere. But I’m not doing any more. I’ve given up. I’ve done that.
“We never really speak much. Bob and I have never been ones for talking on the phone.
“We’ll see him now and then and have a chat about things. It’s not a conscious thing, we haven’t discussed it.”
