One woman is no stranger to dermatological issues herself, leading her to create her own skincare line.

Tina Dao of the Bay Area, California, 37, is the Founder and CEO of Youzu.

Her skincare brand focuses on body care, which is often skipped over in favor for products for the face.

"My goal was to transform the perception of treating skin issues from a source of embarrassment to a confident and positive part of one's routine," Dao told The U.S. Sun.

She added that she shifted her focus to ingredients that work and keeping the design minimalist.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Dao said that her goal is to normalize common concerns when it comes to skin, down to every inch of it.

"Our body skin, just like our facial skin deserves attention and love as it faces common issues like acne, eczema and pigmentation," she said.

"In many cases, these concerns are overlooked but they are equally important."

She added that she encountered her own skincare woes, until finding the game changing ingredient.

"My journey with hypochlorous acid began in 2018 when I developed severe skin irritation caused by bacteria," she said.

From there, Dao saw how it worked wonders on her irritated and inflamed skin.

"Through years of research, I uncovered the remarkable benefits of this natural molecule found in our bodies, created by white blood cells to fend off bacteria, infections, and injuries.
