The luggage contained six bags of gold powder with an estimated value of HK$3 million (US$383,160), with the items’ exact worth yet to be officially confirmed, the source said.
The two victims were unharmed during the robbery.
Officers mounted a search of the areas, but no arrests have been made so far.
Police said the two robbers wore black clothing and face masks during the hold-up.
