Netflix fans rip into comedy Obliterated dubbed ‘worst show of the year’ with abysmal Rotten Tomatoes score
NETFLIX fans have ripped into comedy Obliterated dubbed 'worst show of the year' with abysmal Rotten Tomatoes score.
The streaming service has a wealth of content for people to binge, from films to TV series.
One of the latest ones to arrive on Netflix is Obliterated, an action-comedy-drama created by Cobra Kai's Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg and Josh Heald.
It follows a special ops team who celebrate after neutralising a nuclear bomb, only to discover they hadn't actually succeeded.
There are eight episodes in the mini-series, but reviews from critics haven't been kind.
The Telegraph wrote: "Call off the search: the worst show of 2023 is here. That is, unless you’re a 13-year-old boy, in which case Obliterated is your dream product.”

Meanwhile The Guardian gave it one star and said: "The pace is so excruciating and the show so repetitive that by the third hour, nothing would seem more heroic than someone detonating the bomb and putting us all out of our misery.”
The series currently has a 47 per cent rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Some viewers felt the same, with one writing: "Terrible, unbelievably appalling!"
Another commented: "Very childish, supposed to be an elite team but showed otherwise carried it to far so it wasn't even entertaining."
But some did enjoy it, with one writing: "Not the best show ever but its fun, action packed, light hearted escapism. I think people are taking it too seriously, it's a comedy drama."
Another shared: "This is a good ole fashion turn off your brain and enjoy show. It's just fun."
Obliterated is available on Netflix now.
