Shock Coronation Street arrest as villain is carted off by police
CORONATION Street has aired a shock arrest as a major villain was carted away from the cobbles tonight.
Damon Hay - who is played by actor Ciaran Griffiths in the ITV soap - was forced into a dangerous situation.
Viewers know his gangster brother Harvey has forced him into taking part in an armed robbery and tonight was the night for it.
However there was a shocking twist as once the job was done, one of the other thugs tried to kill their inside man reasoning a four-way split was better than five.
A horrified Damon put a stop to the murder attempt and defended the man, before turning on the other thugs.
Realising they would betray him, he grabbed a bag full of the cash and made a run for it on foot, leaving them to flee in the car.
