Jessy Muller, who lives a nomad lifestyle and is known online as ‘Slow Roamer’, recently took to social media to share the seven tips she swears by for keeping warm.

The savvy saver, who has lived on the road in a vintage RV since 2017, explained that not only does she swear by adding insulation to your floor, but she also advises people to try her window hack to keep the cold air out.

Posting online, the woman said: “Welcome back to RV living in the winter, part three, where we go over ways to keep warm in the winter without a heater.”

She then advised: “Adding another layer of insulation to your floor can really help to keep it warm inside.

“You can get individual rugs or carpet by square foot.”

Not only this, but she then suggested: “If you live on the road, reflectix is a must have. It keeps the heat out on hot days by reflecting the sun, but it also adds another layer of insulation on cold days to keep the cold out.

“I have one cut to fit for every single window.”

If that’s not enough, this woman also suggested using blankets in front of doors and at the bottom of doors too, as she continued: “Another thing you can do to keep the cold air out is hang a blanket in front of your door.

“My door is particularly drafty, so I also take a blanket and roll it up and put it at the bottom of the door where a lot of cold air tries to sneak in.”

Before you go to bed, Jessy then suggested using a hot water bottle and wearing appropriate clothing, as she added: “If you have a cold night ahead of you, a hot water bottle under the blankets can really make a difference.

“And of course, you need to dress yourself in something warm and cosy.”

Finally, Jessy explained that using tea lights can help to reduce the chill, as she concluded: “A few candles can help take the chill out of the air. I like to use tea lights because they burn out on their own.”

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @slow_roamer, has clearly impressed many, as it has quickly amassed a whopping 809,200 views.

Social media users were thankful for the tips and were eager to express this in the comments.

One user wrote: “Great tips! Thank you!”

A second chimed in: “Really good ideas Thank you.”

Meanwhile, another user penned: “Great job and tips!”

At the same time, many others took to the comments to share the simple ways that they stay warm in the winter.

One person said: “Use clay pots over the tea light candles - they radiate heat.”

Another added: “Nice! We found some electric blankets that plug into USBs. They're small, but use very little power and make a big difference.”

A third commented: “An electric blanket is a must!!”
