My 50p hack banishes mould using an item you probably already have – it works even if you don’t have bathroom windows
A CLEANING whizz has shared a simple 50p solution for banishing mould in the bathroom.
It is non-toxic to pets and works even if you don't have a bathroom window.
Posting in the Mrs Hinch Made Me Do It Facebook group, a woman shared a picture of her mouldy bathroom tiles.
"What can I use that is landlord and pet friendly to try and get it nice and clean and white again please?", she asked.
The woman said that because she doesn't have any windows in her bathroom for ventilation she wanted to use a product that was non-toxic to get rid of the mould.
The post was flooded with helpful replies from Facebook users.

One person suggested: "You can try cutting a lemon in half, rubbing it in salt and then rubbing it on the mould.
"That is non-toxic and might do the job for you".
Lemons have a high concentration of acid, which make them great for getting rid of mould.
The acid breaks down the mould spores which makes them easy to wipe off.
It also leaves behind a lovely citrusy aroma.
Lemons cost about 30p from the shop and you can get salt from the supermarket for as little as 27p, making this an incredibly cheap mould busting method.
The cleaning whizz also suggested using a combination of white vinegar and bicarbonate of soda to remove the mould.
White vinegar has antifungal and antibacterial properties.
Shop bought white vinegar contains about 5 to 8 percent acetic acid, which can disrupt the growth of fungus and other microorganisms.
It is also super cheap, and can be purchased from B&M for as little as 79p.
Baking soda can also kill mould and the two products are often uses together as they kill different species of mould.
You can pick up baking soda for just £1 from Poundland.

Mould can build up for several reasons, such as leaking pipes, poor insulation or if condensation is not wiped away after you've had a shower.
It's important to get rid of mould as it can cause many health problems.
According to the NHS, black mould can lead to asthma attacks, allergic reactions and infections.
