Christmas Vacation stars Chevy Chase, Beverly D’Angelo and Randy Quaid reunite at Christmas Con 34 years after premiere
THE National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation stars have reunited at Christmas Con 34 years after the film was released.
Chevy Chase (Clark Griswold), Beverly D’Angelo (Ellen Griswold), and Randy Quaid (Cousin Eddie) held a reunion at the first-ever Christmas Con.
Over the weekend, most of the Christmas Vacation ensemble reunited at the New Jersey Exposition Center in Edison, which is southwest of New York.
The group posed together as they took snapshots with attendees.
While posing with fans, Beverly, 72, wore a polka-dot dress with a matching sweater.
Juliette Lewis, 50 - who played daughter Audrey Griswold in the comedy classic - reportedly dropped out from the holiday-themed convention due to scheduling conflicts, according to People.
The Facebook post from the convention stated: "Juliette's filming schedule has changed again, to the point where she will be unable to join us at Christmas Con this year. "
On Friday, Randy, 73, took to X, formerly known as Twitter, and uploaded a photo of himself with Chevy, 80.
The twosome showed off their casual looks as they wore denim jeans and white sneakers.
The Community actor stood out in the snaps with his white cap and glasses.
In the 1989 film, Clark and wife, Ellen, attempt to have the perfect Christmas for their daughter Audrey and son Russell "Rusty" Griswold (Johnny Galecki).
However, things go awry when Cousin Eddie and his family show up unplanned at the Griswold household.
ROCKY DAY
Chevy's latest appearance came after he was spotted in and out of a wheelchair on Rocky Day.
In early December, the Saturday Night Live veteran visited the Philadelphia Museum of Art for the star-studded event that paid tribute to actor/screenwriter Sylvester Stallone, 77.
While sitting in his wheelchair, Chevy wore a red puffer jacket over his white shirt and denim jeans.
He covered his head with a white cap and had on red-rimmed glasses.
The funnyman did not stay in the wheelchair the entire time.
Chevy eventually stood up and posed with the Rambo actor in front of the famous Rocky statue.
The duo smiled at the cameras as the comic wrapped his arm around Slyvester's shoulder.
Chevy's appearances came about two years after his major health scare.
HIS HEART ISSUES
In March 2021, Chevy went to his home in Westchester after spending five weeks in the hospital due to undisclosed issues with his heart, according to Variety.
The stand-up comedian released a statement to Page Six and said: “These are my first few days home.
"I can only say how happy I am to now be back with my family.
He continued: "I’m feeling good. I was in the hospital for five weeks. A heart issue."
Chevy closed: "So for now, I’m around the house. Not going anywhere.”
In February 2022, the Caddyshack actor opened up about his heart issues in an interview with CBS Sunday Morning.
He told correspondent Jim Axelrod that he had a near-fatal heart failure.

The comic jokingly mentioned that he did not need his heart anymore.
Chevy poked fun: “Oh, we removed it. Didn’t need it. It’s much better now.”
