Emmerdale pulled off air tomorrow in ANOTHER ITV schedule shake-up – but it’s not all bad news

EMMERDALE has been pulled off air tomorrow in ANOTHER ITV schedule shake-up - but it's not all bad news.

Soapland has been impacted by sports coverage for the last month or so, whether it's been the Six Nations rugby or the FA Cup football disrupting proceedings.

Both the BBC and ITV have had to move their soaps around to accommodate the sports, and while Emmerdale was relatively unscathed last month, it has taken the hit this week.

The ITV soap usually airs every weekday night for 30 minutes, but Tuesday's episode has been removed from the schedules.

This is to make way for the Women's UEFA Euro 2025 Qualifier, taking place between the Republic of Ireland and England.

The coverage will start at 7pm with the match kicking off at 7.30pm, when Emmerdale would usually air.

But it's not all bad news for Emmerdale fans, as they will get a double episode tonight instead to make up for Tuesday's absence.

The 60-minute episode will see Cain Dingle put an end to Ruby's plan, while Charles and Manpreet get caught up in a lie.

Elsewhere, twisted vet Tom King sabotages wife Belle and Vinny's friendship, and Ruby's gathering descends into chaos.

Emmerdale's schedule shake up comes hot on the heels of one that impacted fellow ITV soap, Coronation Street.

On Friday, the show was taken off air to make way for the women's football match between England and Sweden in the UEFA Women's Euro 2025 qualifying competition.

Fans were furious, with one writing on X: "They are at it again! #Football instead of #Corrie #CoronationStreet!"

A second fumed: "It’s as boring as f*** and has ruined the Friday night viewing of MILLIONS of people."

A third said: "This isn't fair. I mean, who wants to watch a load of ponytailed blonde Swedish lasses running around in shorts getting sweaty."

While a fourth posted: "Football disrupting our schedule!"

However, on Tuesday last week, ITV execs aired an additional hour-long episode of Coronation Street to make up for Friday's disruption.
