BBC Breakfast legend returns to replace Naga Munchetty with Charlie Stayt as star ‘goes missing’ for three weeks
BBC Breakfast revealed another presenting shake-up today as Naga Munchetty continues to take time away from the show.
The anchor has been missing from the red sofa for three weeks.
Her co-star Charlie Stayt has been holding the fort with a rolling line-up of stand-ins.
Today, BBC Breakfast viewers were greeted by Charlie and BBC legend Sally Nugent on Saturday.
Sally told fans on Instagram about her surprise stint on the breakfast sofa.
She wrote over a behind-the-scenes photo of the studio: "Bonus trip to the office!"

Sally, 52, usually hosts the BBC programme every Monday to Wednesday alongside Jon Kay.
Ever the professional, Sally took to the sofa and covered a range of topics.
Naga has also taken time away from her Radio 5 Live presenting slot this week with Loose Woman star Kaye Adams replacing.
It comes as BBC News presenters have received a fresh blow after three stars missed out on permanent on air roles.
The broadcaster has announced another shake-up to its anchor lineup for the channel.
In a drive to cut costs bosses at the Beeb last year laid off five presenters as it merged its two news channels.
Martine Croxall, Kasia Madera, Annita McVeigh, Geeta Guru-Murthy and Karin Giannone got the axe.
However, in a U-turn two of the women will return to the studio imminently.
The Times had previously reported that all women will be offered permanent roles to avoid possible legal action.
