A woman, 34, and man, 47, were arrested on Monday.

One neighbour near the scene in Streatham, South London, said: “There were just plumes of black smoke and fire engines, it felt like chaos.”

Cops have begun a probe, but are treating it as an isolated incident, and spent Monday collecting CCTV footage.

Det Chief Insp Kate Blackburn said yesterday: “The scene of the fire has undergone extensive forensic examination to help us understand how the fire started.”
