  • Jota and Chiesa could return for Reds

Arne Slot has revealed that Diogo Jota and Federico Chiesa could be included in this afternoon’s squad to face Fulham.

Jota has been on the sidelines since October with a rib injury, while Chiesa has made just one appearance in the Premier League since joining from Juventus for £12.5million in the summer.

Slot said pre-match: "I think they are," said Slot when asked if the players are ready to be in the squad this weekend.

"We have one training session to go. Federico missed quite a lot for a long time, he was ill last week. We have to wait and see how he's doing.

"But maybe Diogo is in the squad and maybe Federico as well but that depends a bit on numbers and how he recovers from his illness."

Gary O’Neil lives to fight another day as Wolves boss despite his side’s 2-1 defeat at fellow strugglers West Ham on Monday night.

The West Midlands outfit host Ipswich this afternoon and a defeat will likely see the 41-year-old lose his job.
