EASTENDERS has killed off a major villain in 40th anniversary special - as he’s crushed by a bathtub.
The BBC soap celebrated its 40th anniversary tonight with a dramatic hour-long special - and it finally spelled the end for Walford’s latest killer.
Reiss Colwell appeared to finally die after murdering his comatose wife Debbie, allowing pregnant Sonia Fowler to go to prison for it, and then kidnapping Bianca Jackson when she discovered the truth.
In tonight’s episode he accidentally crashed into the Queen Vic and caused a huge explosion and ultimately caused his own downfall.
He snuck into the Vic and found Sonia, Bianca and Lauren in the wreckage and tried to force them to stay and help Sonia give birth.
As he threatened them, Bianca pushed him away, telling him to drop dead.

Rubble landed near him with him quipping: “Well that was close” before a bathtub fell from the floor above and crushed him to death.
Meanwhile, the episode saw revellers from Billy and Honey’s wedding trapped in the wreckage from the explosion.
Pregnant Sonia and Lauren Branning were stuck in the kitchen, Stacey Slater was alone in the toilets with Martin battling to get to her.
Meanwhile Phil Mitchell’s suicide bid was interrupted by Grant, Nigel and Linda who tried desperately to talk him out of it.
They failed but fortunately the gun had already been used by Cindy so Phil firing the shots made no difference.
Grant couldn’t cope with it and ran to help with the Vic rescues instead.
He saved ex Sharon Watts who had a vision of her beloved mum Angie with actress Anita Dobson returning for a top secret cameo.
Linda got a mental health crisis team and Phil finally accepted help, going willingly with the doctor.
Back in the Vic, trapped in the ladies loo Martin freed Stacey - and then instead of escaping the pair had a row about their future instead.
“Heart on the line, no dignity left, we are meant to be together,” said Stacey.
At the other side of the bar Kathy and Cindy found themselves trapped together with Cindy bleeding badly.
Kathy was all for leaving her to bleed to death as she kicked her way through the rubble but changed her mind and tried to save her, successfully getting her out and to hospital.
