Global Developers Conference held in Shanghai
The Global Developers Conference 2025, held in Shanghai from February 22 to 24, was a major event in the technology world, focusing on sharing experiences in the field of artificial intelligence (AI).
The conference showcased cutting-edge open-source technologies and products, highlighting the growing importance of open platforms for developers. Leading companies from China and other countries showcased their latest developments, attracting the attention of academics, investors, and developers from around the world.
Vice Minister of Industry and Information Technology of China Xiong Jijun noted that thanks to the support of a wide range of developers, AI in China is developing rapidly. He also emphasized that the country ranks second in the world in terms of the number of open source developers. The conference also included demonstrations of innovative technologies such as humanoid robots and robotics, which attracted considerable attention from the public. It is predicted that China's AI industry will reach 811 billion yuan by 2028, opening up new opportunities for development and investment in this field.
The event, which has been held by the Shanghai AI Industry Association since 2018, was previously called the World Conference on Artificial Intelligence.
