I gave our old driveway a cheap £30 makeover using a Wickes buy – & people say it’s ‘hell of a difference’
A MAN has left people with their jaws on the floor after proudly sharing his epic driveway makeover.
As the weather is starting to warm up, with Brits kicking off their Easter half-term break in glorious 17C sunshine, millions of households are looking to spruce up their homes and gardens.
After the long and harsh winter, our driveways, too, are in a dire need of some TLC - whether that means banishing the stubborn weeds or replacing the area altogether.
However, if you're on a tight budget and or don't want to fork out thousands for a new driveway, one thrifty man has come to rescue with the perfect solution.
Alun James, who lives in Wrexham, Wales, took to Facebook to demonstrate how a lick of paint gave his old, grubby driveway a brand new look for just £30.
According to the Welsh lad, all he used for the epic makeover was a pot of Drive Seal black coating that's ideal on tarmac and concrete driveways, paths and garage floors.

The Wickes find, which is currently available for a mere £23 for a 5L can, restores the surface of old tarmac driveways and paths without any faff.
What's more, not only will the area look fresh, the special coating also protects against weather damage, staining and fungal growth, the listing claimed.
As well as covering existing stains, the Drive Seal also works wonders to resist any oil grease and dirt, one one litre of the product is said to be enough to cover 6 m2.
Those keen to spruce up their driveways this season should be warned that the low odour coating takes 18 hours to dry fully.
But as Alun's post proved - the waiting time will be totally worth it.
Sharing the jaw-dropping glow-up on the popular DIY On A Budget Official, he said: ''Painted our concrete drive. It now looks like fresh tarmac. Really happy with result. 30 quid.''
And it's not just the Welsh lad who loved the results - social media users, too, couldn't get over the difference, with the post racking up a whopping 1.5k likes.
Close to 260 fellow DIY lovers flooded to comments in total disbelief, with one fan writing: ''I would never have the patience but it looks good.''
Another agreed, writing: ''Looks great! Hell of a difference. Well done.''

After his post went viral, Alun added that the Drive Seal ''didn't cover like paint does'' and ''soaked into the concrete''.
