Middle East conflict live updates: Biden blames Iran for supplying weapons that killed 3 U.S. troops in Jordan
Israeli undercover forces disguised as medics and patients raided a hospital in the occupied West Bank on Tuesday, killing three Palestinian militants, according to the Health Ministry in Ramallah, the Israel Defense Forces and Palestinian militant groups. A hospital spokesman said Israeli forces have made arrests in medical facilities but this was the first time he had seen them kill.
All civilian hostages being held by Hamas inside Gaza would be released during a six-week pause in fighting, according to a framework proposed by the United States, Qatar and Egypt. Parts of the proposal have been accepted in principle by Israel, and the framework is under consideration by Hamas, The Washington Post reported, citing officials familiar with the negotiations.
At least 26,751 people have been killed and 65,636 injured in the Gaza Strip since the war began, according to the Gaza Health Ministry. Israel estimates that about 1,200 people were killed in Hamas’s Oct. 7 attack.
