I paid £525 for a ‘teacup chihuahua’ but he ended up being somewhat bigger – I’m never buying anything online again
SHE thought she'd found the perfect dog when she saw it being advertised.
But one woman who shelled out £525 on a pooch said to be a "teacup chihuahua" was left stunned when it grew MUCH bigger than she'd been anticipating.
She took to TikTok to share the situation, sharing videos of the adorable pet as a puppy and writing over the top: "When you paid £525 ($700) for a 'teacup chihuahua'".
The video then changed to show the dog as it looks now - a large, lanky crossbreed that is definitely not teacup-sized.
"I'm never buying anything on Craigslist again," she captioned the video.
Teacup chihuahuas are meant to be very small dogs, with some weighing as little as 1lb and 1oz.

And people were left in hysterics by the video, taking to the comments section to weigh in.
"Teacup turned into a Stanley real quick," one person hilariously wrote.
"The 40oz at that!" another joked.
"We bought a teacup chihuahua on Craigslist too and she ended up being a rat terrier, lol!" someone else commented.
"Loved her though and she lived a long good 15 years of life."
That person added in response to another comment: "She was the best girl!
"Just a bit huge for my Juicy Couture dog carrier I bought for her that was all the rage 25 years ago!"
"I would never for $700," someone else laughed.
"BUT I bought a Boxer off Craigslist for $50 and she’s a pit bull!"
"Omg same happened to me bought a teacup chihuahua off Craigslist and now she’s a Rotisserie pan sized 15lb dog," another sighed.
"Girl we must have bought off the same seller - mine is half Great Dane!" someone else said.
"I bought teacup chihuahua 11 years ago from parking lot of shopping center for $200.. now she’s 5 pounds!" another revealed.
