Strictly Come Dancing’s Craig Revel Horwood reveals bidding war for reality show on his family – and why he said ‘yes’
STRICTLY Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood has revealed the real reason he said yes to a reality TV show on his life.
The straight-talking BBC One star turns 60 in 2025 and admitted he has "finally" given the green light to telly bosses for the very personal series.
Yet he's keeping fans guessing as to where it will air.
Craig was appointed a Strictly judge back in 2004, when the show first aired.
He was again in prime position on the panel as fan-favourite comedian Chris McCausland was hailed champion earlier this month.
Yet next year the focus will turn away from the Glitterball Trophy hopefuls and fancy footwork to life in his £1.8million Peterborough home with fiance Jonathan Myring, 37.

He admitted: "Camera crews have been sniffing around for years, asking if they can film the family.
"Finally, we said yes, and they’ve been following us for a good part of 2024.
"Is it a reality show? Sort of. They say that we’re an unusual family, but we’re just doing what comes naturally."
He added to Saga Magazine: "We have a successful global business that lives, works and creates in the Cotswolds.
"I could have based the brand in Chelsea or New York. No, thank you.
"I want the money I make to be spent in the local community, not given to some landlord for overpriced office space.
"We haven’t decided which channel we’ll go with. It’s a bidding war!"
He also told the publication how 2025 would be a "double celebration" for his family.
As well as reaching the 60 milestone, his mum Beverley will have clocked up six months of chemotherapy treatment.
Craig added: "She beat cancer the first time ten years ago, and she’s been given the all-clear again.
"She’s in very high spirits about that fact, as we all are."

RAW REVEAL
Meanwhile, the sharp-tongued judge showed his sensitive side during this year's Strictly final as blind stand-up Chris almost brought him to tears.
During his feedback to the star, who was partnered with pro dancer Dianne Buswell, the notoriously strict judge and choreographer was visibly emotional.
Giving his take on the couple's final dance to You'll Never Walk Alone, Craig revealed he had his "eyes opened" after visiting the studio to see the pair practice.
He said: "My eyes were made wide open when I came to join you in the studio, and I loved every second of it."
