A GROOM was criticized for wearing a super relaxed accessory to his wedding.
People online wrote that there had to be a reason for his fashion choice, which would otherwise be considered a faux pas.
An original poster shared a picture to Reddit of a bride and a groom holding hands while standing at the altar.
Their faces were covered with emojis, but the groom's choice of footwear was all people on the forum needed to see.
"Imagine you get ready for 3 hours and your groom shows up in crocs," the original poster wrote about the wedding photo.
The bride looks like she's out of a magazine, and though the groom is wearing a tuxedo, he has comfortable clogs on his feet.
With more than 1,600 upvotes, one of the most popular responses was from someone who said the causal choice might be a gag.
"I hope it’s an inside joke between the two of them and she’s also wearing crocs?" the Redditor posted. "I can’t see her feet so idk."
"Maybe shoe disaster right before the wedding ceremony," a second said.
"He probably has an injured foot or broken toe. He’s perfectly groomed (a pun) otherwise," a third wrote.
