‘Can’t understand the rush – be in the moment’ rant fans as Paddy McGuinness reveals he’s ALREADY taken down Xmas tree
PADDY McGuinness has been slammed by furious fans for already taking down his Christmas tree.
Presenter Paddy, 50, revealed on Instagram yesterday that his £2.1million Cheshire mansion had returned to its pre-festive state.
But after posting a photo of his bare hallway to the platform, he was met with widespread critisicm from his followers.
The former Take Me Out host had written, "Timber!!! After three days of none stop fun and games, along with early signs of gout, I finally managed to sum up enough energy to dismantle the Christmas tree.
"A bit earlier than normal but these post Christmas energy spurts must be seized upon! When you taking yours down?
"So many people here just rushing to the next thing. You’ll be rushing to your graves. Be in the moment. This week is still Xmas, and the best bit!"

Paddy might not have anticipated the reaction that followed, though.
One fan commented, "So many people here just rushing to the next thing. You’ll be rushing to your graves. Be in the moment. This week is still Xmas, and the best bit!"
Another raged, "There's 12 days of Christmas!! It never comes down until after the 6th of January. I can never understand the rush to get rid of the tree the minute Christmas Day is over. It's only the days between Christmas and New Year that you can relax and en."
Someone else agreed, "My tree goes up 12 days before, so 13th dec and down 12 days after. Was a tradition my mum has and I do it too. It doesnt feel right doing it at any other time but the amount of strange looks from folks passing our window seeing the tree up at New Year is bizarre."
Paddy and his ex-wife Christine reunited for Christmas as they posed in matching pyjamas and showed off their massive mansion.
The couple announced their shock split last year but Christine, 35, previously revealed they'd spend the festive period together for their three children.
Taking to Instagram, former Real Housewives of Cheshire star Christine stunned as she posed in a Christmas-themed onesie.
And, despite the tough year for her and Paddy, she insisted twins Penelope and Leo, nine, and Felicity, seven, had "their best Christmas yet".
Christine wrote: "They have worn their big smiles all day, they opened their presents calmly and played well together sharing toys.
"They’re now relaxing with full tummy’s watching The Grinch!
I am one very happy (exhausted) mummy!"
Paddy got comfy in the same festive outfit as he sprawled out on their sofa with a glass of wine.
He wrote, "Merry Christmas my loves. Kids bedtime done! Now it’s time for few adult pops before I commence the wrapping/building!
"Here’s a few, cherub like, Christmas pictures! #christmaseve #manspreading."
