BBC News viewers concerned as local reports pulled from screens – asking ‘has something serious gone on?!’
BBC NEWS viewers have been left concerned after bosses pulled local reports from screens.
Each morning during BBC Breakfast the main presenters throw to the local news and weather bulletins before returning to the studio.
However, Beeb viewers tuned into Look North hoping to get the latest news from Yorkshire and were left seriously disappointed.
Instead they were left watching the North East bulletin as the BBC issued a grovelling apology.
Writing on social media, a spokesperson said: "We can't bring you our usual Yorkshire breakfast bulletins today - but our colleagues in the North East have stepped in to help at short notice.
"We'll be back for the lunchtime news at 1:30."

Bosses stopped short of revealing what caused the morning broadcasts to not make it to air.
Fans were left concerned and questioned what had happened behind-the-scenes.
One asked: "What's up? Nowt serious I hope."
A second wrote: "You don't realise how much you watch the local news until it is missing!! Thank you for North East to accommodate our Yorkshire area but I can't wait until lunchtime!! Hopefully Look North will get back then."
"What does stepping in to help mean? Are they broadcasting Yorkshire news too or is it just North East news filling the gap in the Yorkshire schedule," fumed a third viewer.
Who are the current presenters of BBC Breakfast?

The flagship BBC show has had dozens of presenters during its impressive 40 years on air but the current stars are:
Jon Kay - Since 2022
Sally Nugent - Since 2021
Charlie Stayt - Since 2006
Naga Munchetty - Since 2014
Carol Kirkwood - Since 1997
While a fourth commented: "Why do we keep (well, sporadically) getting news from other regions?"
Meanwhile, earlier this month Charlie Stayt and Naga Munchetty were left stunned as a technical blunder caught them off guard.
A VT playing out abruptly stopped leaving the hosts lost for words as they reappeared back on screen.
