I haven’t washed my hair in 30 days – I can feel the oil on my fingers but I’ve got a good incentive to keep going

A WOMAN who hasn’t washed her hair in a MONTH has revealed that she can “feel the oil on her fingers” whenever she touches her head.

Aspen Pitts has temporarily joined the no ‘poo movement, which has taken the world by storm as more women are seeking chemical-free ways to clean their tresses.

The no ‘poo movement entails ditching shampoo and finding organic ways to clean your hair, such as with apple cider vinegar solutions.

The 26-year-old has been sharing her journey on haircare brand Hairifications social media pages, notably Instagram.

She vowed to not wash her hair for a whole 100 days, and is currently 30 days deep in the challenge.

By day 26, she revealed that the greasiness was “starting to get to the point where it just looked wet”.

“I can feel the oil on my fingers,” the Melbourne, Aus-based content creator said.

“I know I said 100 days, but 100 days is a long time.

“I don’t want to do 100 days anymore”.

But Aspen has a very good - and financially rewarding reason - for not washing her hair.

She claims that her boss has promised her £51.64 ($100) for everyday she goes no ‘poo.

People were quick to offer their solutions for her to go the distance with her shampoo-free challenge.

“In the shower brush your hair really really well,” Anna Everhart recommended.

“By doing this, it helps spread out the natural hormones and chemicals in your hair, making it feel nicer and cleaner.

“This might be something that would help most if you started it in the beginning and continued it.

“My dad is an anatomy teacher and told me about this a few years ago.”

Another viewer suggested using “paper towels to suck up the oil”.

If you’re not keen to go no ‘poo, opting for a shampoo and conditioner that are free from toxins or sulphates will help support your hair’s natural oils.

What often happens with those containing harsh chemicals is that they will strip your hair of its natural lubricants, forcing the scalp to work overtime to replenish it.
