‘Are you having a laugh?’ Primark shoppers scream as they see price of Vinted listing for ‘viral’ for £17.99 jumper
IF you’ve missed out on the latest ‘must-have’ item, you might be tempted to look for it on apps like Vinted and Depop.
One second-hand shopper was horrified to discover how much a Primark jumper was being resold for – and its way more than it would have cost in store.
Like many Primark fans, Lilly had been eager to get her hand on the viral soft pink jumper.
Having struggled to find the item in store, the Tiktok star decided to continue her search on Vinted to see if she could find it.
Though she did eventually find the sold out sweater, she wasn't prepared for how much people were charging for the jumper.
“This listing quite frankly trumps any of the others I’ve seen. You are not ready for the screenshot I am about to show you,” she told her followers, clearly still in shock.

Whilst it might have seemed like a normal listing, a quick glance at the price might leave you pretty stunned as the seller wanted £100 for the jumper – not including postage.
Considering that Primark are currently selling a same sweater for £17.99, you could buy nearly six jumpers for the cost of the Vinted listing.
“Are you actually having a laugh, are you actually having joke,” Lily questioned, adding: “Barring in mind this item is £17 to buy from Primark itself.”
As Lilly continued to rage about the pricy listing online, she joked that it made her ‘die a little’ on the inside.
“I can’t believe someone actually has the audacity to post a Primark item, that is 100 per cent Polyester by the way, for £100,” she complained, saying: “These resellers need to be stopped at all costs.”
It turns out though that the content creator isn’t the only one who has encountered extremely overpriced items on the app.
One comment revealed that they’d seen old make up packaging for sale, writing: “I saw someone selling Charlotte Tilbury box packaging for £5.”
Another fan that they’d seen a Primark fleece, originally worth £20, being resold for an eye watering £45 online.
Even Lilly had issues in the past with overzealous resellers having also seen the pink jumper previously listed for £50 on Vinted.
It seems that Primark fans are set for more disappointment, after they spotted an eye-wateringly price dress in store.
Part of the Rita Ora range, the sleeveless maxi dress had a stunning crew neckline and had a figure hugging fit – similar to another dress by SKIMS (£80).
Whilst the dress might have given customers a figure like Kim K’s, it cost more that the reality star's dress and was worth a staggering £100.

Understandably fans haven’t been impressed with the pricey dress, especially as most items in Primark, including coats, are under £50.
We wonder who did end up purchasing it?
