UNDP and UNFPA to collaborate on infectious disease control in Turkmenistan

The United Nations Development Programme in Turkmenistan (UNDP) and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) have entered into a collaborative agreement within a project focused on infectious disease control.

This partnership will emphasize the integration of a gender-sensitive approach into tuberculosis control efforts within Turkmenistan.

Specifically, UNFPA will concentrate on ensuring inclusive healthcare services for tuberculosis diagnosis and treatment, with particular attention to pregnant women, and on enhancing awareness of the impact of tuberculosis on reproductive health.
