I was on Geordie Shore, now I’m a pharmacist – MTV wanted me back on TV but I turned it down

A FORMER Geordie Shore star who went back to work as a pharmacist has revealed she turned down a TV comeback.

Roxy Hamedi, 29, says MTV bosses wanted her back to film a new Love Island-style dating show.

It sees "extrovert" contestants strip totally nude in a hunt for love.

But Roxy turned it down, insisting she was "taken aback" about being asked.

Speaking on the Secure The Insecure podcast with Johnny Seifert, Roxy said: "I think the concept is that you have to take your kit off to date other people so,  I just said, 'that's not for me, thanks, but, good luck'.

"My Instagram isn't that raunchy or anything and I think the way that I'm going in is more of a professional direction.

"And, "I'm a pharmacist as well so, to ask me to get naked for a show, it's just I thought, 'wow, you really think I would do something like that?'

"So I was a bit like, taken back, but I was also flattered that they think I'd look good naked.

"Especially not now, now after New Year and Christmas and that, so I would do it, no - not even if they paid me.

"I know  it's probably not a lot anyway, so I just politely declined, but still flattered nonetheless."

Roxy’s parents moved from Iran to Scotland 40 years ago and she had a strict upbringing.

She worked for five years to get a masters degree in pharmacy and then headed off to start a new life in London.

Roxy ditched her job and defied her strict parents to find telly stardom in 2022.

She fell for James Tindale, one of the original stars of the show, and they started going out soon after she joined Geordie Shore: Hot Single Summer.

She didn’t tell her dad she was going on the reality show.

But almost as soon as filming finished they split when she accused him of cheating.

She's now returned to work as a pharmacist alongside being a social media influencer - and is also celebrating the release of a new beauty product Browtasia from her business, A Selfish Soul.

She has worked to help others with their body confidence, having struggled from eating disorders and Trichotillomania in her past.

" I'm still not 100 percent body confident," Roxy admits.

"Some days I wake up and I just feel like s*** and then other days I'm like, yeah I'll go to the gym and will this positivity.

"I still have issues with my body and have things I need to work on but I think most people are like that anyway.

"I'm a lot more positive now about my body and understanding where I need to work on and self love and, and things like that.

"Browtasia was developed through me constantly plucking my eyebrows out until there was nothing left, which was related to stress as well.

"I guess I battle with it daily still, but I am learning to love myself, day by day."
