Coronation Street legend announces new presenting job 19 years after being killed off ITV soap
A CORRIE legend has returned to presenting 19 years after her character was killed off in the soap.
Lucy-Jo Hudson, 40, is best known for playing Katy Harris on Coronation Street.
The feisty character struck up a relationship with Martin Platt, despite a 20 year age gap between them.
She shockingly killed her father in a spur of the moment attack after he had lied to her to persuade her to abort Martin’s child.
Consumed with guilt over the murder Katy decided to kill herself and committed suicide at home.
Now, almost two decades on from her tragic ITV soap storyline, Lucy-Jo will be on screen again in a completely different capacity.

She took to Instagram to announce the good news to her followers, saying: "I am Very excited to announce that I will be hosting this years Marketing Tourism Annual Awards in Cheshire later on this week.
"I’m looking forward to meeting everyone and presenting the awards to some well deserved marketing teams.
"Now I just need to decide what to wear?"
The Awards ceremony is the most prestigious annual event in travel and tourism marketing.
It was set up to recognise outstanding local achievements that cater to tourists in regions of the UK.
Followers flocked to the comments to compliment her on the new role, with one writing: "Gorgeous photo Lucy! And I'm sure whatever you wear you will look amazing as always."
A second added: "That's brilliant! Need some choices of your outfits on here to poll."
A third joked: "I’m pretty sure you could wear a bin bag and still look good babe x"
