We transformed an ugly, dated bungalow into a dream home – trolls hate how beige it is & all say the same about our bath
A COUPLE have revealed how they bought an ugly house with floral, old-fashion carpets and transformed it into a Pinterest-worthy home.
While their jaw-dropping work has seen them rack up over 100,000 followers, trolls have been quick to slam it for being “too beige.”
TikTok user @_smithhome showed off incredible before and after shots of their home in an impressive video.
They wrote: “Transformation from this… to this.”
In the before shots, the home had a very dated design with bright, patterned carpets.
The couple set about ripping these up and replacing them with stylish cream ones instead.

They also added an extension with bifold doors to give their kitchen maximum light.
Finally, they removed the hallway wood, which was in a dark herringbone style, to a lighter shade to match the carpets.
While the after shots looked picture perfect, they weren’t to everyone’s taste.
One person wrote: “Kinda liked the old style better tbh.”
Another added: “That hallway flooring was so vintage and cool. You could have restored it!
“Now you have what EVERY new house has. Everything else is really cool.”
And a third commented: “I liked the colourful carpets, they looked so retro.”
Meanwhile, a lot of people took issue with where the couple had placed their bathtub.
One person queried: “Bath next to the bed?”
A second said: “why is there a bath on carpet.”
However, the video has racked up over a million likes, so clearly has impressed a vast number of viewers.
One praised the project saying: “my mouth dropped.”
Another agreed: “those who say they like the old style better you can’t be for real like come on.”
