Man Utd transfer news LIVE: Cunha ‘AGREES’ United move, Anguissa ‘offered’ to Red Devils, Dalot OUT for season – latest

  • Hall of fame snub

Ryan Giggs has opened up recently, and said he was upset at being left out of the Premier League Hall of Fame.

The Welsh midfielder is regarded as one of the best of his generation, and of all time.

Controversy off field has followed him recently, but there is no doubting how good a player he was.

  • Napoli midfielder offered to Manchester clubs

According to reports in Italy, Napoli midfielder Frank Zambo-Anguissan has been offered to Man United and City this summer.

His contract with Napoli is set to expire this summer, but reportedly both player and club have the option to extend.

Zambo-Anguissa has already spent time in the English top flight, when he was part of a Fulham side that got relegated from the Premier League.

United could offer Napoli £34m for fellow midfielder Stanislav Lobotka this summer as well.

  • United pick up a late point against Bournemouth

Manchester United have had a poor season, but ended strongly at the Vitality this afternoon.

They will face Athletic Club in the Europa League semi-final next week, so any momentum is greatly appreciated at this point of the season.

  • Drama in Bournemouth

Despite Evanilson being sent off, United fans will argue that Bournemouth should have been down to nine.

Tyler Adams went in HARD on Alejandro Garnacho, but was only shown a yellow card.

  • Cherry pick

Manchester United head down south today to take on Bournemouth, aiming to pick up momentum ahead of their Europa League semi-final.

Here's how the Reds line up for kick-off at 2.30pm:

Utd XI: Onana, Mazraoui, Maguire, Yoro, Dorgu, Casemiro, Bruno Fernandes, Shaw, Mainoo, Garnacho, Hojlund.

  • Ruben - Trust the process

United boss Ruben Amorim believes short-term pain will play out in favour of long-term success at Old Trafford.

Amorim explained: "In January we lost players and didn't bring in new ones. That was a risk.

"But there are things here that are more important than scoring 10 more goals this season.

"We are trying to do something that is more important. We can hurt the squad now but in the future it will help the club."

  • Cunha agrees United move

Reports in Spain are claiming that Wolves star Matheus Cunha is close to joining Man Utd.

They say a verbal agreement between the player and the Red Devils has been finalised.

He supposedly has a £53m release clause, which will be activated by United in a few weeks.

  • Dalot to miss rest of season

Asked whether Diogo Dalot will miss the rest of the campaign with his calf strain, Ruben Amorim replied: “There is that possibility but I don’t know.

"We’ll check week by week because he works really hard and he recovers quite well but we’ll see.

“He has a problem with his muscle in his calf. He had a sequence of games, he played all the time.

"We tried to manage it but some of the players have to play a lot of minutes and we have to protect the ones that we think are not so ready to cope with that, but Dalot felt something.”

  • Goal-shy

Ruben Amorim is trying to build a team in his identity and sees that as more important than scoring more goals.

He said: "Not signing a striker in January was a risk, but I think there are things here that are more important than to score ten more goals this season”.

“We are trying to do something more important."

  • Rash decisions

Marcus Rashford is "not expected" to play for Manchester United next season, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The transfer kingpin also claims Brazilian flop Antony has also played his last game in United shirt.

Romano told his YouTube show: "The indication I’m getting from sources is that Antony is not expected to play for Manchester United next season.

"Marcus Rashford is not expected to play for Manchester United next season as well."

  • Roo what?

Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney was left in hysterics live on the BBC - after Gary Lineker's brutal put-down.

The former Red Devils striker joined Lineker, Micah Richards and Glenn Murray to assess Saturday's FA Cup semi-final at Wembley.

And it was Richards feeling the burn after a sharp jibe from host Lineker.

  • He's a keeper

Ruben Amorim has reportedly found his replacement for error-prone goalkeeper Andre Onana.

The stopper has endured a difficult season at Old Trafford and was recently dropped for a 4-1 loss at Newcastle.

Espanyol keeper Joan Garcia has emerged as Onana's possible replacement.

Reports in Spain claim United have "made an approach" to "tempt" the 23-year-old into moving to the North West.

  • Mat leave

Manchester United target Matheus Cunha was on the scoresheet again as Wolves beat Leicester 3-0 on Saturday.

Ruben Amorim has remained coy on whether he wants to sign the Brazilian ahead of a trip to face Bournemouth.

Amorim said: "I will say nothing about Matheus because if I say one time, I will have to say for any situation that is yes or no.

"So I will not comment about that.

"We are focused on this season and even the way we are going to prepare the next season could change in these games, so it is hard to predict what is going to happen in the future."

  • To the Victors

Reports suggest Manchester United are pushing to sign Napoli star Victor Osimhen - and have made him a "top target".

Osimhen is said to be United manager Ruben Amorim's top striking target this summer as the Portuguese tactician looks to add firepower to his squad.

The Napoli striker is on loan at Galatasaray and has netted 29 goals from 34 games this season.

  • Legends unite

Sir Alex Ferguson attended an event for the Association of Former Manchester United Players.

The charity event had previously been axed by Sir Jim Ratcliffe as part of his drastic cost-cutting measures at the club.

Red Devils legend Gary Neville saved the day by stepping in to raise money.

The retired defender has worked with the club to organise the event, which also honoured ex-striker Andy Cole.

  • No Spain, no gain

United are considering making an audacious bid to sign Alex Baena from LaLiga side Villarreal.

The Red Devils are set to face competition from Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich for the 23-year-old.

Fichajes claim Ruben Amorim has earmarked Baena for a move to Old Trafford, with the midfielder to cost around £42million.

  • Ruben rallying call

Ruben Amorim believes Manchester United are still an attractive proposition in the transfer market - despite a dismal domestic season.

The Red Devils are currently 14th in the Premier League.

But Amorim argued: "It's Manchester United. Every player wants to play for Manchester United.

"If you look at our club in the moment, with all the problems, including changing coach, it looks a little bit of a problem.

"But we have a clear idea and that's the easiest part to explain for a player."

  • Feeling Blue

Chelsea are reportedly confident they can hijack Manchester United's bid for Liam Delap.

The Ipswich striker is one of the Red Devils' top targets this summer after a breakthrough season in the Prem.

But according to GiveMeSport, Chelsea are "quietly confident" they will land the England under-21 international.

  • Onana 'keen to leave'

Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana is keen to leave Old Trafford for Saudi club Neom SC.

According to Foot Mercato, Onana has opened talks with the newly-promoted Saudi Pro League club.

The keeper's representatives and Neom officials are discussing a potential summer move with the player's contract running until 2028.

The Saudi outfit's interest has been deemed "concrete" and the 29-year-old is interested in a potential move.

That could see the Cameroon international linking up with Manchester City rival Kevin De Bruyne, who is also being targeted by the same club.

  • Hairdryer treatment over the phone

Snooker legend Ken Doherty had an embarrassingly awkward conversation with Manchester United's iconic manager Sir Alex Ferguson after winning the World Championship.

Dohert won his only world title in 1997 by defeating Stephen Hendry at the Crucible and became the toast of Ireland as he returned home for an open-top bus parade in Dublin.

The Darlin' of Dublin's triumph also caught many other esteemed figures' attention and was thus invited to showcase his trophy in another momentous occasion.

Crafty Ken received an unexpected phone call from snooker fan Ferguso who offered him the opportunity to present his title at Old Trafford on the last match of the 1996-97 Premier League season.

However, the phone call went completely south as the Irishman suspected it was a prank from one of his mates and proceeded to drop an F-bomb to one of the greatest managers of all time.

I got a phone call a week later. I didn't recognise the number, the voice went [does an impression of Ferguson], 'Kenny, do you fancy coming and parading that trophy around Old Trafford?'

I told him to f*** off! I thought it was one of my mates winding me up.

He said again, 'Kenny, it's Alex Ferguson here, I'm not going to ask you a second time'.

"So I had to apologise. Not many people have said that to him and got away with it! But he saw the funny side. He loves snooker.

  • Andre Onana advice - EXCLUSIVE

Former Chelsea ace Geremi has told Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana to block out the abuse and back himself as the team's No1.

Onana's former Cameroon team-mate has now slammed trolls who have targeted the 29-year-old and says some have crossed the line.

Every player has to accept criticism, but with Onana people go beyond that and even attack his family.

Fifa does not allow that. Fifa frowns on discrimination and insults. This has to stop.

Onana must believe in himself, he is Manchester United’s No 1. He needs to shut out the noise.

He’s done well to get to this level. Now he just has to block out the negativity.

  • Evra calls out Suarez

Manchester United legend Patrice Evra is making a shock career change as an MMA fighter - and wants old Liverpool rival Luis Suarez as his first opponent.

Evra prepares to make his mixed martial arts debut at PFL Europe Paris at the Accor Arena on May 23.

And the former full-back called out Inter Miami star Suarez to face him in the octagon.

The two Prem legends have a history dating back to 2011, when the striker was found guilty of racially abusing Evra during a clash at Anfield.

I’m officially training for my first fight with @PFLEurope.

They will pick my opponent… They asked who I wanna face.

I said: Luis Suárez. I’ll pay out of pocket. He can even bite me.

  • Dusan Vlahovic boost

Manchester United have received a major boost in their bid to sign Juventus star Dusan Vlahovic.

That is because Calciomercato report that Juve may have to sell Vlahovic this summer if they don't qualify for next season's Champions League.

The same goes for fellow Bianconeri stars Kenan Yildiz and Andrea Cambiaso.

Juventus are currently fifth in the Serie A table with only one point separating them from the top four, which leads to Champions League qualification.

  • Major injury blow

Manchester United ace Diogo Dalot could miss the rest of the season after suffering a calf injury.

Dalot is ruled out of Sunday's Premier League trip to Bournemouth and is a major doubt for both legs of the Europa League semi-final against Athletic Bilbao.

In an injury-plagued season for United, the wing-back has been one of their most reliable players fitness-wise.

Diogo is out. We don’t know how long he’s going to be out but he’s out for these next games.
