I went all out for my Christmas party in a low-cut dress and sparkles but called it so wrong, I was cringing
A FASHION fan who pulled out all the shots for her Christmas party, has been left feeling red-faced.
She went all out with her outfit in a low-cut dress that sparkled.
But she called it so wrong and wondered how she could have made such an error.
While she glittered, her fellow partygoers looked like they were going out for another day at the office.
In fact, there was very little evidence that anyone else had made any effort at all.
Sheila Patton (@sheilacherese) nervously bit her lip as she observed the festive celebrations around her.
Though, as she quickly discovered in her post, there was little partying going on at this Christmas party.
Sheila has 27,000 followers on her TikTok, where she describes herself as a "glamorous intellectual.”
She certainly had upped the glamour stakes for her party outfit.
Make-up done expertly, including fluttery false lashes, she wore a black low-cut top, and a fabulous sparkly top over it.
The look epitomized festive wardrobe looks.
“I got invited to a Christmas party," she said in her video. “I showed up dressed like this."
There was a look of confusion and awkwardness on her face as she panned the camera at people dressed casually sitting at tables.
It was clear there were no other glittery outfits on show at this party.
“And this is how everyone else was dressed.”
She emerged integrity intact, however: “Well I held my head up high.”
Her post has amused many attracting over 58,000 likes.
Commenters gave her some comfort.
"I always dress in the fanciest. It’s a Christmas party," reasoned one person.
Another said: "But they’re all men. You made the place look merry. You look gorgeous.”
“So unfestive. How sad. You were gorgeous," figured this fan.

And there were wise words from this person.
“It’s better to be over dressed than underdressed. People will remember you for all the right reasons.”
