‘Audacious’ wedding guest slammed after she wore full-length white gown to the big day – and even nabbed the bouquet

WHEN it comes to weddings there are some unwritten rules that guests should take note of.

Don’t bring a plus one without an invitation, don’t drink too much and under no circumstances should you wear white.

Well, this guest could certainly do with a reminder of these rules having turned up for a pal’s wedding in a very inappropriate outfit.

Taking to Reddit a fellow guest from the reception shared a snap of the floor length white gown the woman had worn.

Captioning her snap she wrote: “The audacity of unknown guest (friend of bride’s mom).”

While wearing white was outrageous enough, the woman went on to reveal that the guest had taken things a step further when it came to stealing the bride’s limelight.

She added: “Not only did she wear a white dress, she went into the room where the bride was keeping her bouquet safe, and decided to carry it around and take pictures with it.”

And indeed, in the photo that was shared by the Reddit user the woman can be seen holding the bride’s bouquet.

Fellow Redditors were left equally outraged by the guest, sharing their thoughts in the comments.

One wrote: “Wow! I had to go back and read that… I thought she was the bride too!”

“Where's your bestie with the glass of red wine when you need it…” added another.

Meanwhile a third wrote, “Why do so many people go to a wedding and try to be the centre of attention???

“This.day.is.not.about.you. Period.

“You want all the attention?? Throw your own wedding.”

The photo was shared on the subreddit r/weddingshaming.

The group has almost 600,000 members and is described as a "place to shame wedding themes, brides, grooms, wedding party, in-laws, outlaws, guests, Uncle Bob, vendors... you name it, we shame it!"
