EastEnders legend returning to Walford with Freddie Slater for explosive storyline
EASTENDERS are lining up an explosive storyline that will see one show legend return with Freddie Slater.
The BBC One soap has announced Mo Harris will make a comeback to Albert Square this Spring.
Played by Laila Morse, the character has been the matriarch of the Slater family since first being introduced in 2000.
Over the past two decades she's returned for numerous stints before departing in 2021 for a cruise with her fiancé Fat Elvis.
Mo will return to Walford with Freddie Slater, who fans last saw in October as he was arrested for the assault on Stacey's stalker Theo.
The crazed teacher had been harassing the mum for months after growing infatuated with her before things turned sinister and he tried to rape her.

While the exact plot surrounding the pair's return remain under wraps by Beeb bosses, they've teased trouble.
Speaking about her return to EastEnders, Laila said: “I’m delighted to be coming home to Walford to bring Mo back to life.
"EastEnders holds such a special place in my heart, and I can’t wait to be reunited with my on screen family, who are like my family, as well as old and new faces.”
Chris Clenshaw, the soap's executive producer added: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome back Laila Morse to the role of Mo Harris.
"Although her time away from the Square has been short-lived, the Slater family has endured a huge amount of drama since she last appeared on screen and Mo’s return will be no different.
"We’re delighted to welcome Laila back permanently as she is thrust into the heart of the drama alongside great-grandson Freddie."
Laila is already back shooting scenes with her return expected in the coming months.
EastEnders airs on BBC One and iPlayer.
