"The United way is about getting the ball to you forwards as quickly as possible but United are slow on the ball and they get picked off. No matter the type of player they bring in they won’t be able to express themselves because they won’t get the balls in the right areas.
"Mason Mount has suffered because he doesn’t get the ball in areas, they need a player like Michael Carrick, Paul Scholes or Roy Keane to win the ball back and get it to the right players quickly.

Ex-Blues boss Antonio Conte has been keen on taking the Belgian to Napoli all summer.
The Serie A side initially hoped to sign Lukaku on loan with a view to a permanent deal.
The 31-year-old has spent the last two seasons on loan in Italy, firstly with Inter Milan and then Roma. However, Chelsea wanted a sale this summer and are close to getting their way, with the deal likely to include a sell-on clause.
Lukaku joining Napoli will mean striker Victor Osimhen can leave the Italian club.
Chelsea have kept tabs on the Nigerian all summer, though face competition from Paris Saint-Germain and Saudi Arabia.
Osimhen’s wages, close to £300,000, could prove an issue. Chelsea’s American owners have worked hard to reduce the overall wage bill at Stamford Bridge – and Osimhen’s salary would not fit the new structure.
