Moni (@moni_4c) routinely shares tips for healthy hair on TikTok, where she’s steadily growing a following.

“Hey guys, so my mom has been wanting to try rosemary oil for a while but she doesn’t like the scent of everything I put in my rosemary oil,” she said.

“Let’s just make her some plain good old rosemary oil.”

The beauty guru showed that she would be using fresh rosemary, which costs $2 from Walmart.

She also had a bottle of sweet unscented almond oil, from Walmart for $8.50.

“The first thing I do is I get the fresh rosemary from the store and make sure I wash it thoroughly and dry it thoroughly,” she said demonstrating the process of making the hair growth oil.

“If you put it wet in water, it will cause mold and mildew and we don’t want that.

“Then I find a container that will fit in my pot that I’m double boiling in.

“I cut the rosemary stems down to size and I pour in my oil of choice.

“My oil of choice here is just sweet almond oil.

“That is the only oil that I will be using and I will be using the container of the sweet almond oil for the rosemary oil when it’s done cooking.”

My hair was chin-length and balding at the scalp before I started using an $11 growth oil, now it’s healthy and bouncy

She poured the entire bottle of sweet almond oil into the container with the cut-up stems of rosemary.

“While I’ve been doing this I’ve had water boiling on the stove so I can just put this container into the water and let it boil for 30 minutes,” she said.

Moni showed how the mixture looked when it was first taken out of the boiling water.

She then revealed how rich the color became after three days of sitting.

“I’m going to continue to let it marinate until I like it,” she said.

Thousands of people watched the simple 2-ingredient haircare tutorial and it received many likes.

Moni’s tip comes after an article published by MedicalNewsToday cited various studies into the benefits of rosemary oil.

In 2022, researchers revealed rosemary oil can be just as effective as hair growth treatment minoxidil after six weeks of use.

Previous studies found rosemary oil may also help hair loss caused by a bacterial scalp infection and be a useful treatment for androgenic alopecia.
