My hair was fried and snapping but I healed it without any products – now I have a thick mane, here’s my top 4 FREE tips
AN INFLUENCER has shared how she “healed” her fried blonde locks without using any products.
Taryn Lamb’s hair was so damaged from regular bleaching that it was snapped at the ends, leaving her with an involuntary bob.
And after years of feeling insecure and hiding under extensions, the 25-year-old decided to make some big lifestyle changes to “heal” her hair.
She shared her top four FREE tips for women with damaged hair that want to bring some life back to their ‘do.
“I don’t have extensions, this is all my hair,” she showcased on TikTok.
Taryn’s hair was “fried and broken” before she decided to “heal” it, and she was “so incredibly insecure” about the way it looked without extensions.

“I thought this was going to be my hair for the rest of my life,” she said.
“So, of course I had extensions in my hair all the time, which just made it even worse.
“I had clip-ins, tape-ins, sew-ins - I had every type of extension you can imagine.”
But after restoring her tresses to bouncy glory and reflecting on the mistakes she made in the past, Taryn now would recommend you do four things to “heal” your tresses.
“Stop bleaching the literally living s**t out of your hair,” she said.
“Take the damn extensions out, put them away.
“Cut off all your dead ends - I’m talking bob, I’m talking short.
“Do not touch your hair with bleach, dye, nothing for a while… a long time, a year, two years. Don’t touch it and let it breathe.
“Stop using heat. I know no-one wants to hear that, but it’s true. You’ve got to stop using heat on your hair all the time.
“It’s just frying, killing, murdering your hair.”
Taryn added that she would use heat on her hair once a month at most when trying to heal it.
“The awkward phase between my hair being super damaged and it getting better, and having to wear it natural… it sucked.
“It did not look good, but I promise you it’s worth it.

“It’s not like there’s some serum or product or something that you can use to just heal your hair if it’s as damaged as mine was.
“And I think people want something like that, that can just heal it… but in my opinion, it’s a matter of leaving your hair alone and just letting it be.”
