I work at Greggs – the best time to go for hot sausage rolls & the three traits that show you’re an annoying customer
IF you’re a fan of Greggs and enjoy tucking into their sausage rolls, pizza or sandwiches, you’ve come to the right place.
There’s nothing worse than expecting to bite into a warm snack from the chain, only to realise that it’s freezing cold.
However, luckily for you, this won’t have to happen again, as a Greggs employee has revealed the best time to visit to ensure your baked goods are warm.
Not only this, but the Greggs worker also shared the three traits that the staff can instantly spot, that reveal if you’re an annoying customer.
And not only this, but they also shared how you can get a fresh sandwich, even if there’s none on the shelves.
Posting on community sharing platform Reddit, on the SubstantialPrompt194 page, the user wrote: "I work at Greggs, ask me anything."

And as expected, people took full advantage of their openness.
If you’re a fan of hot sausage rolls, the employee said that the best time to go is between 11am and 12pm.
And, if you want a hot pizza, according to this Reddit user, it's best to try and time it when they've just come out of the oven, as they "cook fast, but get cold fast."
When it comes to things customers do that are annoying, the staff member recognised three irritating things.
They wrote: "Customers who are not patient at all when they can clearly see when we are busy.
"I've had customers shout at me for a 30-second wait for their coffee."
Not only this, but the employee then shared their frustration at breakfast customers who "order extra bacon, extra sausage and extra omelette on a baguette", because you can barely fit any extras onto them.
The user then revealed the irritating thing that customers do with their phones when ordering, as they concluded: "Customers who keep scanning the app QR code when I've specifically told them to wait.
"Then they get angry when I ask them to scan it when it's ready to be scanned."
The staff member also confirmed that they do get a discount card, and when you've worked at Greggs for a year, you get a secondary one for someone you live with.
However, despite the money off, the user claimed that your "appetite disappears" when you're constantly around the food.
Not only this, but if you’re a fan of the chain’s sandwiches and there’s none left on the shelves, fear not.
According to this employee, if your favourite sandwich is no longer on the shelves, you can request the worker make one for you.

However, the employee recommended "choosing wisely" when you ask, because it "can be quite frustrating for the employee" to have to make the item there and then.
