Antony’s agent reveals how ace feels about Amorim & Man Utd return after loan

ANTONY'S agent has revealed how the winger really feels about Ruben Amorim.

The Manchester United ace was loaned out by the club in the January transfer window.

Antony, 24, joined LaLiga outfit Real Betis on a short-term deal until the end of the season.

The Brazilian has so far impressed in Spain with two goals in his first three appearances.

The former Ajax man is starting to show why the Red Devils splashed out an eye-watering £85.5million on him in 2022.

The club will be happy to see him rediscover his spark ahead of his return in the summer.

Antony's agent Junior Pedroso has hinted he could still have a future at Old Trafford.

The representative also revealed that the player "respects" Amorim despite being loaned out.

He told Fabrizio Romano: "Saudi and PL clubs wanted him but Real Betis was the best solution, he's so happy there.

"There's no buy option and he respects Amorim a lot.

"His future at Man United remains an open story."

Junior also claimed that the Spanish league is an "ideal place" for Antony to excel.

He added: "Spanish football greatly strengthens Antony's main technical and physical characteristics.

"He has more freedom to use all his skills to the advantage of efficiency in attack.

"That’s why we said yes, and Manchester United approved it too."

Fans have already been left with some frustration at Antony's improvement and claimed that Manchester United are the problem.

Real Betis CEO Ramon Alcaron has already admitted that his side are interested in making Antony's loan deal permanent.

He said: "I think so. The other day the CEO of United called me.

"We sent them details of the player throughout the week so they can see we’re looking after their asset.

"We have very good chemistry with United and the player, who is happy here.

"It is a possibility that he will continue next season, why not?"
