Home pro shares secret 25p hack to make every room in your house smell amazing, without ever lighting a scented candle
A HOME pro has shared her secret hacks to make your house smell amazing without ever lighting a scented candle.
Jacqueline explained that there are so many ways other than using a candle to improve the scent of your home.
In fact, one of her top tips involves using rice to make an at-home air freshener.
And given that you can get a huge 1kg bag of rice for just 52p from Asda, the hack isn't going to break the bank either.
"Drop essential oils into a bowl of dried rice and hide them behind decor for a smell your guests will never see," Jacqueline said in a video on TikTok, using rosemary oil to demonstrate the hack.
After putting the dried rice into a small bowl, she dropped on some of the essential oil.

She then place the bowl behind a picture frame, so that the hack stayed a secret.
"Wow love it!" one person commented on the video.
As another added: "Thank you for the tips!"
A third warned people to "be careful" with essential oils, as some are harmful to pets.
Jacqueline's other tips included using your favourite seasonal fruits and herbs to create a simmer pot.
Simply add them to a pan full of water and leave it gently simmering to "fill your home with a natural smell".
You can get a "real plant smell without all the work" by adding a few drops of essential oils to your fake plants, Jacqueline said.
And dried flowers are also a brilliant way of making your house smell amazing.
You can either scoop some of the dried flowers into a little organza pouch, and dot them around the house - near entrances works particularly well.
Or, if you have carpet, sprinkle dried flowers onto the carpet and leave for 30 minutes for hoovering up.
This gives the same effect as a Shake and Vac type product.
Spray your furniture with a mix of white vinegar, water and essential oils to absorb odours - particularly useful if you have pets who like sitting on your sofas.

And speaking of absorbing unpleasant odours, you can add tumble dryer sheets inside shoes to take away the stench.
Adding damp kitchen towel or newspaper to a fridge can help absorb the smell, while sprinkling baking soda into the bottom of your bins can stop them from stinking too.
