But if the age-old techniques of using salt and cat litter just aren’t shifting it, luckily for you, here’s another simple trick that you’ll want to try.

A cleaning fan who is known online as ‘Blooms Abode’, took to social media to reveal how she gets rid of condensation in her home, leaving many very impressed.

And don’t worry, you won’t need to go out and splash the cash on a pricey dehumidifier either.

The brunette beauty explained: “Condensation and mould tips - no gadgets needed.

“You NEED this.”

The first thing that this cleaning whizz recommends is: “Open your curtains and blinds in the morning.”

She then shared her simple 65p hack, as she added: “Leave a pot of bicarb on the window sill.”

As well as this, she then used the Astonish Mould and Mildew blaster, as she continued: “Use a mould spray once every two weeks to keep at bay.”

If you’ve run out of bicarbonate of soda and want to give this hack a try, you’ll find some for as cheap as 65p in Tesco or Asda.

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @blooms_abode, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it was shared just 10 hours ago, but has quickly amassed a whopping 59,100 views.

But social media users were divided at the hack - while some were impressed, others weren’t so convinced.

One person said: “Do you just leave the bicarb on the window for a while?”

In response, the cleaning enthusiast confirmed: “Yes eventually it’ll go hard so just change it then.”

Meanwhile, another added: “Just buy a dehumidifier, pennies to run, no more condensation.”

However, the cleaning guru clapped back and wrote: “For every room? That would be expensive. I have one in my utility where I dry clothes.”

A third commented: “Any tips for windows that aren't double glazed? As I have the old single glazed ones and if I spray anything on it the paint will come off.”

The cleaning whizz then replied: “The only thing I would suggest is a window vac? They’re amazing! If you try and stop it the water will attach somewhere else and cause damage.”
