Princess Kate beams as she surprises adults working in childcare with festive tea party in special for her carol concert
PRINCESS KATE beamed as she surprised adults working in childcare with a festive tea party ahead of the Together at Christmas Carol Service.
The Royal mum-of-three met with three dedicated staff members in the sector and five children who they helped, in an ITV special set to air on Christmas Eve.
Kate stunned Russell, Ray and Brenda while they spoke to Rico, Arwyen, Jenson, Poppy, Henry and George during a heartwarming reunion.
"Sorry to disturb the party, hope you don't mind," said the Princess as she walked in to the shocked group.
The Royal, 41, donned a festive red Miu Miu cardigan with matching trousers, and smiled as she chatted to retired mental health nurse Brenda.
They spoke about the volunteer's role in local schools, helping students with their struggles.

Kate also enjoyed discovering more about the benefits of musical therapy from George, 10, and Henry Barnard, 12.
The brothers explained how the programme at East Anglia Children's Hospice, where the Princess is Patron, helped them.
In a heartfelt chat, the trio exchanged stories and Kate revealed how much Prince George loves the guitar, while Princess Charlotte is a fan of singing - and Prince Louis has a passion for the drums.
Ray, a music therapist at EACH, explained the importance of their services and shared a touching tale about helping a family cope with their 18-month old-receiving a Spinal Muscular Atrophy diagnosis.
Kate also had an informative conversation with kids' football coach, Russell.
The Manchester based mentor proudly spoke of the boost in self worth children can find through sport.
Russell described the Princess' visit as "breathtaking", and added "she took the air out of the room".
The special was filmed as part of the Together at Christmas Carol Service which highlights the need for support during early childhood and the importance of heroes who work in the sector.
Kate penned on X/Twitter: "Three inspiring people making a real difference to the lives of young people.
"It was so lovely to join Rico, Arwyen, Jenson, Poppy, Henry and George for a special surprise celebration for the people in their lives who have helped shape them.
"Russell, Ray and Brenda, it was a pleasure to meet you! Watch our special Christmas Tea Party as part of this year's Together at Christmas Carol Service broadcast on ITV and ITVX."
This comes as the Princess was snapped dazzling in an all-white outfit as she arrived to film the carol service earlier this month.
She was joined by Prince William, Princess Charlotte, Prince George and Prince Louis - who looked adorable in their blue and maroon coats.
The children could be seen holding letters - which they then posted to less fortunate children in time for Christmas.
Ahead of the service, Kate was seen talking to Dame Sheila Hancock.
While the service, held at Westminster Abbey, was filmed at the start of December, it is being broadcast at 7.45pm on Christmas Eve.
A teaser clip for the Royal Carols: Together At Christmas programme featuring Kate aired on ITV1, in which she said: "Join me this Christmas Eve for a special carol service, as we say a heartfelt thank-you to all those supporting the very youngest members of our society during those crucial early years."
Linked to Kate's Shaping Us campaign, the service will showcase "the hope of new life and why it is so important to build supportive, nurturing worlds around children and the adults in their lives".
The Westminster Abbey choir are due to perform popular carols, with musical performances by Jacob Collier, Freya Ridings and James Bay - as well as a special duet by Beverley Knight and Adam Lambert.
Readings will be given by speakers including the Prince of Wales, Micheal Ward, Emma Willis, Roman Kemp, and Jim Broadbent.
Meanwhile, a specially commissioned poem written by Joseph Coelho, the Children's Laureate, will be read by Leonie Elliott.
