Furious BBC legend brands Britain’s roads a ‘joke’ as he reveals he’s lost three tyres to potholes

DJ Tony Blackburn is going potty over potholes, ranting he is on a third new tyre thanks to them.

The BBC Radio 2 star said the nation’s roads are a “joke” and blasted councils for not sorting out the problem.

He fumed online: “When is someone going to do something with our roads?

"I’m now on my third tyre.

"It really is a joke that nothing is done about the state our roads are in."

Tony, 81, who lives in North West London, said Sir Rod Stewart needed to get involved again.

The singer filmed himself fixing potholes in Harlow, Essex, in 2022.

The DJ said: “Is anyone in authority listening any more or have you all just disappeared down one big pothole?”

Meanwhile, in Notts, members of Gedling Borough Potholes put on a party in a pub to raise awareness and “celebrate” their favourite craters.
