In the clip, her daughter had scribbled all over the floor in the kitchen with blue and red crayons.

Showing the now colourful floor in the video, Kira insisted it was totally okay for her daughter to draw on the floors of their rented property.

Kira penned: "Healing my inner child is letting my two-year-old colour on the kitchen floor while I'm cooking.

"She asked me first and I said yes, she tried to ask if she could colour on the cabinet and I said no and she listened.

"She knows this is only allowed right here. But she had the most fun and it can all be cleaned."

The clip posted to her TikTok account @kiraaddison quickly went viral with over 300k views and 4,500 likes.

But it seemed people were not impressed and many took to the comments to share their thoughts.

One person wrote: "It’s not healing any thing other than letting your kid boss you around. This is what’s wrong with kids parents are trying to be their friend."

Another commented: "my inner child wasn't ruined because I couldn't colour on the floor. I get what you're trying to do tho."

"Sooooo you can't just say no, can you draw on paper?" penned a third.

Meanwhile a fourth said: "This is NOT healthy. Boundaries and respect for your environment are."

Hitting back at the haters, the mum revealed the floor was cleaned by her two-year-old straight after - and there were no marks left behind.

She wrote: "For everyone panicking with my last post, floor is all clean and it took a full one minute to mop oh yeah, and my two-year-old is the one who cleaned it."

Others were quick to defend the mum and said it was great she let her daughter show off her creativity.

"I think it’s great. It’s your home and your life and it’s great to encourage creativity ! Hope it’s easy to clean,” claimed a fifth.

Someone else added: "I love this. She can have fun without it being a big deal. It’s just a floor."
