We ditched our home to live in a school bus mortgage-free – there’s so much space we even have a walk-in wardrobe
A COUPLE have revealed that they ditched their house to live in a school bus which has been converted into a tiny home.
Jimmy and Jill have named their cream bus Ida, and even plan to have kids one day, whilst still living in the bus.
The duo purchased their bus for £13,000 off a bus convertor, who had already done a lot of the conversion.
"That's way more than you can get a bus for, but is was worth spending the extra money for the work that had already been done", Jimmy told Tiny Home Tours.
They then spent an extra £30,000 doing the bus up, and now pay zero rent or mortgage.
The couple are big fans of cooking so gave the van a six foot kitchen, so that they can cook all of their favourite meals.

They also have a huge fridge and two hobs, so they aren't missing out on any home comforts.
They even have an enormous sink, which is big enough to put a baby in, so they can bathe their kids in it one day.
Jimmy and Jill decided to leave their home to live on the road in 2019 and initially bought the van.
After a few years, they decided to sell the van, and moved into the bus so that they had more space.
They call it their 'goldilocks' bus, as it is 34foot long, making it the perfect size to fit everything they need.
The couple love hosting, and have prioritised the space in their van so well, that they are able to have lots of people over in the living room.
Their sofa pulls out into a queen sized bed, and they even have hooks on the ceiling, which they use to hang hammocks on.
The bus also has a bathroom, which includes a DIY toilet made out of a bucket.
"DIY is great, because it's cheap", Jill said.
It also has a shower, which the couple use everyday, which they said has been "lifechanging" whilst on the road.

In the back of the bus, the couple have a master bedroom, with a large bed, a walk in wardrobe and a TV.
It also has a desk in it, so that the couple can work from home.

Jill said that the couple do struggle for storage space, but have found innovative ways of making use of the space, such as storing their bikes under the bed.
"It's a really cosy space, and we love it", Jill said.
