Passenger dies after horror fall while getting off plane at Scots airport
A DISABLED pensioner died in a horror fall from an assistance lift at Edinburgh Airport.
The 81-year-old plunged six foot from the lift onto the tarmac while getting help off the plane on November 28.
The man requested special assistance to disembark the aircraft in an Ambulift which is attached to the back of a truck.
It is believed that he was trying to pass his bag to a staff member when he fell from the platform, the Daily Record reported.
The OAP was then rushed to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary after suffering from a severe head injury.
