Nigel Farage’s popularity soars after I’m A Celebrity stint — as Rishi Sunak’s plummets
NIGEL Farage’s popularity has soared thanks to his appearance on I’m A Celebrity — while Rishi Sunak’s has plummeted.
The former Ukip leader had an approval rating of plus-one among Tory backers in 2019.
Since taking part in the hit ITV show, his score has risen to plus-18 — made up of 46 per cent positive and 28 per cent negative.
In comparison, Sunak’s rating has fallen to a score of net minus-three.
Among the wider public, Farage has an approval rating of minus-29 — while the PM’s is at minus-41.
Polling was carried out among 2,000 UK adults.

It comes as Sunak's Rwanda plan scraped through a Commons showdown tonight after Tory rebels blinked - but warned of fresh trouble in the New Year.
The PM's flagship immigration legislation survived despite dozens of right-wing MPs publicly pulling their support at the last minute.
But by abstaining - rather than the nuclear option of voting against the government - the rebels grudgingly let the the PM squeak a win.
