I live on a cruise ship for FREE…I can do everything the guests AND crew can but there are some strict rules just for me

A WOMAN who lives on a cruise ship has shared the highs and lows of life at sea - including surprising rules that are set just for her.

Christine Kesteloo is the wife of the chief engineer onboard a swanky vessel and she regularly shares videos of her lavish lifestyle with her 800,000 TikTok followers.

Although Christine saves megabucks and experiences great benefits living aboard she also has restrictions she must abide by.

In a recent video she explained that although she can do most things the crew and guests can gambling is something that's strictly off the cards.

She said: I'm not allowed to just sit at a slot machine and play my heart out until I win."

She explained that this is because it would look " a little weird" if she won big being the wife of a crew member.

Christine also said she must always wear her badge when she's in the crew area so she can be identified.

And she must only leave the ship an hour after the guests have departed as this is protocol the crew follow.

The TikToker said although she is allowed to use the pool she will always make sure to give the guests her seat if it's busy as "it's just the right thing to do."

The final rule is that Christine must have international travel insurance "at all times," but she only has to pay "a little bit extra each month" so she isn't bothered by this."

Despite the regulations life at sea comes with great benefits.

Christine is able to use all the facilities on board including the gym and spa.

She also gets to cruise for free, eat for free, and has a whopping 50 per cent discount on the shop and spa area.

This is not the only time someone living on a cruise ship has made the news recently.

In October we told of a couple who spent 18 months at sea because it was cheaper than retirement home fees.
